Amazing morning light within the four walls of a stunning Palazzo a few winding blocks away from Piazza Navona
One of my most treasured experiences in Rome was a digital photography class in which my peers and I were introduced to some of the ancient city’s most beautiful, hidden corners, palazzos, and small museums, all awash in Rome’s unique light. I like to think that the Roman sky is so brilliantly blue because of how the light bounces off of the warm-colored buildings; all of the yellows and oranges as well as the cool blues welcome the sunlight like a Roman welcomes his long, leisurely lunch. Our digital photography class met twice a week for the first 5 hours of the day, traipsing all over the city to document its beauty, architecture, and inhabitants throughout the strong, luminescent, and ever-changing morning and mid-day light.

Morning turns to afternoon, seen through the Aventine Keyhole, where no key is required to view St. Peter’s Basilica in the distance
